Make Money With Mobile Phone Marketing

00pic05 Make Money With Mobile Phone MarketingAs part of Web 3.0, the mobile industry has made huge progress in the last 2-3 years and a lot of new opportunities are blooming. The trends are so fast-paced and, it is true, it is hard to keep up with all the changes.  It is more, the advertising methods and mediums are always changing and new ideas evolve for marketing on mobile devices such as cell phones.

It was clear to me that some changes are in the air but the fact which definitely makes me look closer was Google’s acquisition of a mobile platform called for 750 millions.  Google is not the type of company which is flinging away money, and Eric Smith’s (CEO) affirmation that from now on, they will do “everything mobile” was the second argument.

One more time, read for yourself:
http://solsie.com/2010/02/google-ceo-eric-schmidt-mobile-first/

Email marketing is great, as an affiliate marketer I use it for years,  but text messages have an open rate of 96% and works because advertisers have better control of their marketing messages, and the procedure is very simple.

The tempting points of are:

  • Higher response rates – Mobile marketing generates a 15% – 20% response and e-mail marketing 1% response with conventional media
  • Use to communicate with customers – “Short Message Service” () known as “texting” are used to send text messages that are a maximum of 140 characters, exactly as in Twitter but  with a bigger pool of customers – more than 3 billion mobile users
  • Low marketing costs – Texting is the most cost effective way to market on mobile phones

How to Mobilize Your Mobile Business? This is what you need to know:

  • What are the needs of a mobile website
  • How to build a mobile site (you need to make sure that your web pages are mobile optimized.) If your web pages are not optimized for mobile display, it could look badly in a mobile web browser. So this is where Mobil Monopoly with his tool BeastMobi is  finding his place in the puzzle
  • How to mobilize your existing desktop site – for old web pages, it is important that you create a complimentary mobile version of them or introduce Mobile elements
  • How to accept payment for your products and/or services on mobile. Again Mobil Monopoly for the rescue
  • SMS/Text Messaging, Message Campaigns, what to avoid, what to adopt for Mobil sites
  • How to find out how much mobile traffic you are already getting from cell phones

Note: One method of monetizing your web site’s content is by inserting mobile ads. Google Adsense has a program that will allow you to insert Google mobile ads on your mobile web sites.
I’ll cone back in this subject, there are more methods for monetizing, but at this point you must know that you can be financially rewarded if you can get a lot of mobile traffic because you will be paid on a cost-per-click basis anytime a user clicks on an advertisement.

Mobile Affiliate Marketing (PPC/CPA/Lead Gen) is a subject in itself and is part of monetizing as well:

  • Mobile CPA networks - Cost-Per-Action (CPA) marketing is huge online and can be used on mobile devices with mobile dedicated CPA networks ( I’ll talk in a different post about them) With CPA  you can earn money by simply getting people to fill out a form and/or download some content
  • Mobile (PPC) – Looks crazy, you would to get paid every time you managed to get a prospect to call a phone number! The majority mobile ad platforms have a “click-to-call” option where prospects just need to click on the ad and it will automatically call the advertiser, and you have to pay only when a call goes through
  • Building Your List – Mobile devices are an excellent for lead generation because you can acquire a lot of prospects with the amount of traffic you can get

We have to stop now, but I’ll continue this series with the hope that I’ll clarify all the issues, Mobile Marketing being a new and hot field to jump right now.

Until next time be informed.

Mobile Marketing Strategy

0circle of light 300x225 Mobile Marketing Strategy Strategy must be explained for two solid reasons: it is so new, it is combining the strategy of classical Affiliate Marketing with Mobile needs to create success.

It will be a learning curve because skills are needed from 2 distinct directions: Affiliate Marketing and Mobil World. The majority of us are coming from one direction, and we need to mastermind the other one.
I hate when people tell you “it is simple as 1,2 ,3″ or “if I do it you can do it”, I classify this type of advertising as hype. There are rare cases when somebody is a shroud Affiliate Marketer and also an expert on Mobil technology. So, I’ll be honest:

You need to have some skills from both niches, it will be a learning curve, it is not racket science, but you must have some level of knowledge and understanding for both: Mobile needs and general affiliate marketing strategy.

Prerequisites or what you need to learn are:

  1. You have to sign up to – you need to be able to create a list, a web form, and follow-up messages
  2. You have to sign up to CPA networks: PeerFly, OfferMobi
  3. You have to sign up to Mobile Ad Platforms: , , Mojiva
  4. You have to sign up with Network: RingRevenue, Shareasale
  5. You have to sign up with Clickbank, must know to choose the right products to advertise
  6. You learn how to use Adam’s Software - the free version or the paid membership for it

So, for me personally being an Affiliate marketer for some time I already have accounts and use , and Clickbank (this is 1 and 5).  And I need the knowledge to handle the Mobile niche: 2, 3, 4  and 6.

I already did my part, so now I can explain in a nut shell (just 5 steps) the strategy of .

but01.jpg Mobile Marketing StrategyStep 1: You go in any CPA Platform you already sign in and pick up an offer, the URL of the offer, you will need this in step 2 to put it in the “Thank you” URL  place of the Web form you will create.

newrule Mobile Marketing Strategybut02 Mobile Marketing StrategyStep 2: You go in your aWeber account and: create a new list with opt-in OFF, create a web form only with e-mail address and put the URL from step 1 in Thank you page, copy and save the raw HTML of the form.
You enter in Adam’s Software which creates optimized squeeze pages for Mobil:

  • Paste the Raw HTML you just save
  • Click get your URL of the squeeze page the software creats for you
  • Shorten with Tiny URL, copy and save

newrule3 Mobile Marketing Strategybutt05 Mobile Marketing StrategyStep 5: Go back in your aWeber account, for the list you created in step 2, write and schedule 2 follow-ups. The first one will go right away, the second one must be scheduled 2-3 days apart the first one. The 2 follow-ups are kind of mandatory, but you can ad as many fallow ups you want space them in a way which don’t create the impression that you are intrusive.

The content of follow-ups must be as follow:

  • First one contains the URL of the freebie  you promise on the Web Form you created on step 2
  • Second one and what will follow for this specific contains the URL of the product you selected on Clickbank

So this is it!

Let’s summarize. You create a new list for a new campaign and you promise a freebie. You also find and save a CPA offer from a CPA platform and select a product from Clickbank.
For your new list you create a web form in which spell out your freebie, copy the raw HTML of the form and fill in the HTML in Adam’s software.  The software returns to you the URL of a squeeze page of your form in an optimize format good for Mobiles phones.
At this point you create a campaign on a using the URL of the squeeze page, and create 2 follow-ups on aWeber.

Note: to use Adam’s software you must get Mobil Monopoly, so it will cover coffees for the next project which is already on Adam’s pipe, he really is a quick thinker.

Success in not an accident!

I got a bunch of questions, glad you asked. I respond the best I can.

The most frequent question I got: Do the mobile work on which platforms?

A: They work on all smart phone platforms like: , , and

The second question I got: Do I need to own a smart phone to run mobile campaigns?

A: No. Everything is running from your computer just like traditional Internet Marketing campaigns, but you’re reaching a huge market through their mobile devices.

The third questions I got: I know is hard to get approved by CPA networks. Do I need to be approved by them to create campaigns and use Mobile Monopoly?

A: Yes and No. Adam gives you 7 different modules of ways you can make money with Mobile Monopoly. Some of them you can start right away with NO MONEY, some are LOW COST networks, you can run mobile CPA campaigns for keywords as low as 0.01 – 0.10 per click!

I am sure you never heard of such low cost… but the is very new, so for a while (1- 2 years I hope) it will be a blessing.  It time, probably, it will follow the Adwords pattern and the fees will increase.

This is a different reason to mastermind Mobile Monopoly and BeastMobi NOW. They are a new waive of Internet Marketing and is hear to stay.
