The new CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, will announce soon the product we all etching for – the iPhone 5.
As usual they don’t give us specifications in advance, but there are a couple feature we now and we are waiting for.
Some people call those rumors, I don’t as I know that they are coming from Apple’s sources so they aren’t really rumors.
What we know so far:
- A5 processor chip
- Support iOS5 – announced in June
- iCloud Service ( it was announced be Steve Jobs on his last speech)
- Higher-resolution camera
- A smaller screen just 4 inch
- Face Recognition Security
- OLED screen with Scratch proof and shatter proof screen
- Flash support
- Wireless sync with iTunes
- Extended battery life
We also expect some extra groundbreaking features.
A5 processor chip
iPhone 5 uses the A5 as the main processor, which will provide a better speed, somewhere around 1.2 to 1.5 GHz, and we expect 1GB RAM.
A5 contains:
- a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU with NEON SIMD accelerator
- a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU, this is why the iPhone 5 will be so speedy and will compete with Samsung Galaxy S II
iOS5
As of keynote address on June 2011, the user interface is based on direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures.
We expected to come with more than 200 new features that will including:
- Notification System
- News Stand
- iMessage – this is an app which allows: iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad users to communicate with each other
iCloud service
The iPhone 5 is expected to feature the new iCloud service for wireless remote access of music from both: computers and mobile devices.
This is the feature which supposes to fight piracy, is well expected by some and will make others un-happy.
A better Camera
This is pure speculation that the iPhone 5 will have:
- a rear-facing 8MP dual-LED flash camera
- a front-facing camera for video chatting
- a 3D camera which will be capable of capturing, processing and rendering 3D images with dual-camera hardware
- also it will be capable of taking pictures in Panorama
So just looking to the above list you can see that Apple is determined to keep up with the Android competition.
Smaller screen
The iPhone 5 could be slightly wider and thinner. The dimensions are: 4.33″ x 2.36″ and .27″ thickness at the top and .21″ at the bottom vs. the dimensions of iPhone 4 which are: 4.5″ x 2.31″ x .37″.
Note : I don’t have info about the rest of features from the above list. So I let you to wait with anticipation. The price… well, we don’t know but I guess that will be compatible with the iPhone 4, it will be a great surprise if will be less…
