Mobile Marketing, I call it Mobile Profit, it is a precious niche because it is about deploying next generation Internet technologies.
Do I need traffic for Mobile Profit? The Social Media is coming for the rescue. In general I don’t spread myself to over 500 sites but I have my favorites among the big boys: Blogging, Facebook, Squidoo, Twitter, Google Buzz… lets stop here for this post.
It is true that blogging is my favorite even if you don’t see me daily bases, if you read this you are already in. So, Mobile Marketing is a new type of marketing which need more explanation, experience sharing, and a lot of love because even if some think that pioneering sucks, I am convinced that it is a huge value in doing it.
I create this blog to Promote Mobile Monopoly, but also to share trends, tips, give more details for Adam’s system, advertise more Social Media, create a community interested on this new niche, and have a conversation within community.
At this point this is a 3 month Blog, it is a toddler but if you look at the end of the blog you will see under Views the number of visitors per post, which posts are viewed the most. It is clear that the community is moving along. You can argue that it is not quick enough - I don’t think so, if a new Site/Blog is sky rocketing in the first couple of month it will end up in Google’s SandBox, which means it will be penalize in ranking algorithm.
Why? Because Google thinking is:
- You abuse the system
- You do something which is artificial
- Maybe you use automated packages to force gazillion links to come to your site… and so on
So I am happy with this slow moving progress for the infancy stage of this blog. I have other blogs as well but this is the single one for this niche.
The Facebook is the opposite story, it has a dynamic grow be definition, it is already a monster and you have to get in the game and play hard.
In FaceBook:
- I post on the wall just to acquire FB friends and make people know me
- Create group Affiliate Marketing and JV partners
- Create group Mobile Profits which echo my efforts for my new niche
- I don’t create ads with FB yet, because I am working on something which cannot be fragmented in pieces at this point, but the time of advertising via ads will come for sure
Note: It is a dispute about which has more value in it a Fan Page, or a Group. The answer is for long range a “group”, short range a “Fan Page”, at list this is the thinking now. With such an explosive development in FB, tomorrow can be different. I this it is correct because a group definitely create a targeted community, Fan Page can be, but not always is targeted because has too general subjects.
Our beloved Squidoo is so fun, we all like to create lenses, which in general acquire a lot of traffic.
I started a set of four lenses for this new niche, the first 3 of them are done, the last one is not but that one is only indirectly related with the mobile marketing niche.
You probably ask why I come with so many details – well, when I start I was overwhelmed by the quantity of new info. Then I realize that all the necessary steps in this system are very simple steps. It is just time consuming to mastermind the entire process in a short period of time.
So I want to make others go to the learning curve a little faster and easier, and this can be done knowing what you can expect from the system, and having upfront some knowledge about mobile marketing.
It is an excellent way to network with business associates, competitors, and peers. It really is a way of life for many of us, so I just try to summarize only a couple of ideas:
- By befriending only people who are in the same niche as you, you’ll get a good insider’s look at your niche
- Update your audience fairly regularly, but don’t create the impression of spamming
- Use Twitterfeed to help people stay updated without them checking your page too often
- Display your Twitter profile all over: business cards, your website, your blogs, email signatures
- Promote Events, people like events
- Keep it casual. Twitter is a social site, so it’s got more of a casual feel than websites in general
- Incorporate video into your Twitter page. Now Twitter allows for multimedia additions, so feel free to include video plug-ins on your page
- Separate your followers into different groups. This is actually quite useful, as they can be: customers, peers, competitors, or personal contacts
- Itunes, Iphones, and Twitter: There are plenty of new tools available right now that incorporated into Apple’s applications. This makes your Twitter updates available to
- busy people who are on the go, and
- for people who access your page solely on their Iphones
- Use other mobile Twitter related apps. Not only can your users download these apps and use them on their cell phones, but you can do the same and follow your personal friends and associates
- Ask opinion or feedback
- Make Twitter followers feel special by offering “Twitter followers only” specials. This encourages new seles as well as new followers
- Participate as much as possible
- Mix it up. Don’t just use Twitter as a promotional site. Try to keep a dialogue going, let people know what’s happening, and other things aside from over promotion
It is not much left about the Twitter, I am doing frequently, I tredirect then in many directions:
- My other social marketing work
- My blogs
- My affiliate links
I search statistics for you and my sales for Mobile Monopoly (I am an affiliate for them) are coming from 3 sources in the following order:
- My list
- Facebook
- Twitter
Until next time be well
